Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 14 April 2025 · Wira Chronos, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
These Terms & Conditions govern the service relationship between Wira Chronos and clients who submit a watch for service or enquiry. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions before proceeding, we welcome a conversation before any work commences.
1. About Wira Chronos
Wira Chronos is a watch repair and restoration workshop operating from 27 Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We provide mechanical watch servicing, crystal replacement, water resistance testing, and comprehensive restoration work. Our services are described in full on the Solutions page of our website.

2. Service Engagement
Work commences only after a written or verbal service agreement has been reached between Wira Chronos and the client. This typically follows an intake examination, at which point we provide an indicative assessment of scope and pricing before any work begins.
Where work in progress reveals additional issues not observable during the initial examination, we will contact the client before proceeding with additional work. No additional charges will be incurred without client acknowledgement.
The client may withdraw the watch at any stage before work has commenced, without obligation. Once work has begun, a partial charge reflecting the work completed to that point may apply.
3. Indicative Pricing
The prices listed on our website represent the standard starting price for each service category:
- Mechanical Calibre Care — from MYR 1,120
- Crystal Replacement & Sealing — from MYR 880
- Comprehensive Restoration Programme — from MYR 2,250
These figures are indicative. The final cost may vary depending on the condition of the watch, parts required, complexity of the calibre, or restoration scope. We will confirm a firm or revised estimate before proceeding where the final cost is expected to differ materially from the standard price.
All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
4. Parts and Materials
Where parts replacement is required, we source components appropriate to the watch's make, reference, and condition. Clients with specific sourcing preferences — for example, a preference for original manufacturer parts rather than compatible equivalents — should notify us at the time of intake, as this may affect timeline and cost.
For restoration work on vintage pieces, we consult with the client on choices between conservation and replacement before proceeding, particularly where a decision affects the watch's originality or value.
Replaced parts removed from a watch are available for collection by the client on request. If no such request is made, removed parts may be disposed of after collection of the watch.
5. Timelines
Estimated completion timelines are provided in good faith and represent our best assessment at the time of intake. They are not contractually binding. Timelines may be affected by parts availability, calibre complexity, or workshop volume.
We will communicate proactively if a job is expected to exceed its estimated timeline. Clients are welcome to request a status update at any time by contacting us directly.
6. Collection and Uncollected Watches
Upon completion of work, clients will be notified that their watch is ready for collection. Payment is due at the time of collection unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance.
Where a watch remains uncollected for more than 60 days after notification of completion, we reserve the right to apply a storage fee. Where a watch remains uncollected for more than 180 days, we will contact the client by all available means. If contact cannot be established after reasonable effort, we reserve the right to take appropriate further steps in accordance with Malaysian law.
7. Care of Client Property
We take the care of watches entrusted to us seriously. Watches submitted for service are handled with the level of attention appropriate to fine mechanical instruments. Each watch is documented at intake, including photographs of its condition at the time of receipt.
Clients are advised to retain their own photographs of the watch before submission, particularly of any pre-existing marks, scratches, or condition details that they would not wish attributed to our handling.
For comprehensive restoration work, a photographic record is kept throughout the process and shared with the client upon completion.
8. Limitation of Liability
Wira Chronos applies professional care and attention to all service work. However, watches submitted for service — particularly vintage or heavily worn pieces — carry inherent risks associated with age, prior handling, and the condition of their components. We are not liable for pre-existing faults or failures that become apparent during service, provided we have notified the client of relevant risks before proceeding.
Our liability for any damage attributable to our handling is limited to the cost of making good the damage or, where that is not practicable, to the reasonable assessed value of the affected watch at the time of intake, whichever is the lesser.
We accept no liability for consequential losses, including but not limited to sentimental value, loss of use, or financial losses arising from delay.
9. Water Resistance
Where a Crystal Replacement & Sealing service or related pressure testing is performed, we provide a written test result indicating the outcome of the test conducted. Water resistance ratings are those of the manufacturer and reflect the watch's design specification. We do not warrant ongoing water resistance beyond the point of collection, as gaskets degrade with use and environmental exposure over time.
For sport and diving references, clients are advised to have the seal system checked at regular intervals as recommended.
10. Service Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our work. Where a fault attributable to our service is identified within 12 months of collection, we will assess the watch at no charge and, where the fault is confirmed to be related to our work, address it without additional cost to the client.
This does not cover faults arising from impact, moisture exposure, misuse, or further third-party intervention after collection from our workshop.
11. Payment
Payment is accepted by cash, bank transfer, or such other methods as may be available at the time of collection. Payment is due in full before or at the time of collection unless otherwise agreed in writing. We do not accept credit arrangements unless explicitly confirmed in writing.
12. Disputes
We prefer to resolve any concerns through direct communication. If you have a concern about our work or these terms, please contact us promptly and we will endeavour to reach a fair resolution. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any unresolved dispute would be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The terms in effect at the time of your service engagement will apply to that engagement. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
